We offer all levels of dog training to the Lehigh Valley, including obedience training, AKC Canine Good Citizen Training and Certification, Therapy Dog Training, and Private In Home Training or In Center Training for behavior modification including dog aggression. PUPPY TRAINING AND SOCIALIZATION:
This group class is a 6 week course that is for puppies that are ages 8 weeks thru 6 months. The trainer will focus on enhancing the puppy's socialization skills with other puppies as well as with humans.This time period is the most critical period in a dog's life for developing self confidence, socialization skills, bite inhibition,as well as learning manners.
Topics covered in class will include but are not limited to loose leash walk, sit/stay, down/stay,stand/stay, and a reliable "come" recall.Household manners will also be part of the curriculum including puppy mouthing and nipping, crate training and housebreaking,the "off" command for unwanted jumping, "quiet" for excessive barking or whining, "leave it/take it" commands and much more.
And of course, there will be plenty of off leash play time for the puppies to interact and build their socialization skills.
ADULT BASIC TRAINING:
This 6 week course is for dogs ages 6 months and older.These training classes are designed to help socialize and train older puppies and adult dogs, and include problem-solving ideas for basic behavior problems. Through various group lessons and discussions, the trainer will show you how to successfully communicate with your pet. Learn the secret to successful dog training - "conditioned responses".
Class curriculum includes but is not limited to the loose leash walk, "sit/stay, and down/stay", "stand", the come recall, "off" for unwanted jumping, "quiet" for excessive barking or whining, "leave it/take it", drop it, and much more.
INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE:
In this 6 week course, our trainer will increase distractions, duration of time and distance to your exercises.This class is for dogs that have an understanding of basic obedience and are looking to take it to the next level.This is a great refresher for dogs that have taken classes in the past.
Curriculum will include but is not limited to off leash walking, wait at a threshold, stays with distraction,take it from objects on the ground, coming when called off leash or out of play, attention and focus.

ADVANCED OBEDIENCE:
Is you're dog ready for the ultimate in challenges? This 6 week course will definitely give your dog the opportunity to use his canine senses and expand his thinking capacity. Exercises will include down stays at a distance or next to other dogs, out of site recalls, long distance commands. Motivation is the key in developing a reliable dog. Our trainer will continue to fade food lures, as we develop duration with our basic manners and drop the leash.The trainer also uses parts of the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Test for practice.
DAY CARE "TRAINING PACKAGES":
These packages are for the pet parent that wants to give their pet a day of fun and play as well as fun and learning. Our Day Care Training Package prepares your dog for more advanced levels of training. This package includes six one hour sessions with our trainer on the most basic aspects of training. This could be used as a prerequisite for entering our intermediate and advanced training classes.
THERAPY DOG:
Would you like you're dog to be a therapy dog but you're not sure if he or she will pass the test?This class is for you! Our 6 week course will prepare the handler and dog for the Therapy Dog testing. This course will give you the confidence and knowledge to breeze thru the testing for certification so you can get to work with your new Therapy Dog!
AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN:
The American Kennel Club's CGC Class is designed to prepare you to take the Canine Good Citizen test as well as improve on commands you've already learned. Lessons include the importance of greeting a friendly stranger, walking through a crowd, ignoring distractions and more. Our AKC certified evaluator will administer the AKC CGC test and certify your dog at the end of the course.
IN-HOME TRAINING:
We come to you to train your dog!Some behavioral issues are best addressed in the pet's home environment. Many of these poor behaviors are territorial where triggers and stimuli are only found in the home. Our trainers are experienced in working with canine behavior problems including dog aggression. During these training sessions, we work with the pet family to improve handling and communication skills with their pet. We understand that most behavioral problems are not fixed in 2 hours. Free follow up sessions are included.
